Meet the Teachers
Fullmer Sensei received her bachelors in humanities with a history teaching emphasis, and a minor in Japanese from BYU. She has been teaching for nine years, and Japanese for four. Her mother is from Sendai, Japan, where most of her family still lives. Fullmer Sensei grew up speaking both languages, and moving back and forth between America and Japan has helped her become sensitive to the differences and similarities between the two very different cultures. Her teaching philosophy includes instilling some of the core values of Japanese society; hard work, tenacity, and respect. She loves the dichotomies of Japan- modern and traditional, serious and quirky, and hyper-urban while maintaining its closeness and respect for nature.
