We left around 8 am for the bus to kyoto station where we got on the shinkansen to Shin Kobe and got on to another Shinkansen for Hiroshima ^-^ We then took a bus to the Hiroshima and Nagasaki peace museum and everyone went off by themselves to read the stories and first hand accounts of survivors. It was a very eye opening experience and I am glad we all had the chance to get a deeper view on the disaster.
We got to watch some videos of first hand accounts from the bomb and they also had a simulation of the actual detonation. We were all very quiet and respectful while learning more about the event. After we left the museum we got on the bus again to go to our BnB (the house we are staying at) and the man in charge came to pick us up and we got to the house and all of us have or own beds and things it is very nice! You can also see the Ocean from the balcony we have outside. At around 6 we all left to go to Miyajima Island which we had to go on a Ferry to get to which was really cool. There is a very large shrine in the Ocean that everyone goes to see. It is bright Orange and we went around the evening time so everything was lit up and very pretty. Also when we got to the island there were deer like in Nara and they would approach if we had food. Although Jacob left his bag on the ground and the deer stole his melon bread ^-^. We walked along the ocean on the walls and really enjoyed all the views and the little town on the Island. We also had our dinner on the Island. And then we went on the ferry again on our way home.
On our way home we stopped by a cemetery to do "kimodameshi", or test of courage by walking through the cemetary one-by-one.... it was right by the road so didn't end up being scary at all!
We made it home safely and everyone is tired so we will all sleep.
